Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This page is maintained by Khia, the operator of Creator Worth, to explain how the crowdfund site at creatorworth.app handles information from contributors. It does not describe the future Creator Worth iOS app, which will have its own privacy policy at launch.
1. Who we are
Creator Worth is operated by Khia, based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. For any privacy question, reach us on Instagram at @creatorworthapp.
2. Information we collect
When you make a Contribution, we collect:
- Name — the name you enter in the donation form (optional; may be displayed publicly as a backer name only if you choose).
- Email address — used to send a receipt and to contact you about your Contribution if needed. Emails are never displayed publicly.
- Optional message — anything you type in the message field.
- Contribution amount, currency, status, and timestamp.
Payment card details (number, expiration, CVC) are entered directly with Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We receive only a transaction reference from Stripe.
Our hosting provider may also collect standard request logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention.
3. How we use information
- To process your Contribution and issue a receipt.
- To display aggregate progress on the Site (total raised, number of backers). Individual amounts and names may appear publicly only in aggregate form or as a backer name you provided; email addresses are never public.
- To contact you about your Contribution or material project updates.
- To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed below.
4. Service providers
- Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe’s privacy policy.
- Lovable Cloud — hosting and database for the Site and the contributions ledger.
These providers process information only on our behalf and only as needed to operate the Site.
5. Data retention
We retain Contribution records (name, email, amount, message, timestamp) for as long as needed to operate the project and to meet tax and accounting requirements (typically up to 7 years). You can request earlier deletion of personal fields where we are not legally required to retain them.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. California, EU/UK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the Instagram handles above. We will respond within a reasonable period.
7. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect Contribution records, including encryption in transit, restricted database access, and row-level security on backer data so that backer emails are not exposed publicly. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Cookies
The Site uses only essential cookies and local storage needed for the donation flow and (if you sign in to the admin area) for authentication. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be posted on the Site.
